When is Divine Liturgy or Holy Mass?

The Byzantine Divine Liturgy ("Eastern Rite") is offered on most Sundays at 11:00 AM. Visitors coming from a distance are encouraged to confirm their arrival and to ask for exact location deatails and/or directions. Any cancellations will be announced in the Parish Bulletin and Facebook site.  -  All Services are live broadcast as well as recorderd for later view.

Orthodox Latin Rite Holy Mass is offered at least once a week at our St. Kilian Chapel, usually on Saturday at varying times. Physical attendance at this time is not possible, but every Service is broadcast via our Parish Facebook page.

Is everyone welcomed?

Everyone of good will is welcomed at St. Joseph Orthodox Chapel with an invitation to woship in person.

You do not need to be Orthodox to attend Services and pray with us. We ask only the same courtesy and respect that we gladly extend to every visitor.

How long is the Liturgy on Sundays?

Our Sunday Divine Liturgy lasts about one hour. On feast days or other special occasions it may be slightly longer.

How is parking & accessibility?

Street parking is available around the building or near proximity. The chapel is located at ground level but is entered via a few stairs.  -  If you have particular accessibility needs, please let us know before your visit. We will gladly make whatever reasonable arrangements to help you attending comfortably.

Can I receive Holy Communion?

Orthodox Christians believe that in the Eucharist the bread and wine truly become the Body and Blood of Christ.

Holy Communion is not just a personal act of devotion but also the Church’s expression of full unity in faith, life and teaching. For this reason, Holy Communion is not ordinarily received casually or simply by virtue of attending the Liturgy. 

Orthodox Christians visiting our chapel, who wish to receive Holy Communion, are asked to speak with the priest beforehand.
